Creating a custom Page Tab for Facebook Pages - Part II

Hi once again. This is a continuation of the previous post.

Before beginning you should have a nice suitable cover-like page to advertise on Facebook. As I described in the previous post.

Let's move on from here.

Now sign in to Facebook with your account. And click on Developers at the bottom of the Home Page.

Start by visiting to Developer Apps.
Here you can see all the apps you developed on Facebook.
Click on "Create New App". You will be presented with the following popup window

Provide a suitable name for your app. This will be the Name you can access the Page Tab.
In my case it is Visit Stuffmine. Now you should be on a page similar to below. Fill it as shown below. Now Save Changes

Alrighty... now we have to create the Page for the iFrame to appear.
Go to "Create a Page" (It's on the bottom of your Facebook home page). Set parameters as you like. Now "Save Changes"

Now if you're done. Do as said below. Visit the following URL. This basically directs you to a place where you can specify in which page you iFrame should appear.

https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=APP_ID&next=YOUR_URL

APP_ID: Your application ID, it is visible on the very top (Refer the above image)
YOUR_URL: URL of the Google site you created.

Now you should be presented with a window similar to below. Choose the page which your Page Tab should appear. Click "Add Page Tab"

Now to check whether the Page Tab is really added to your newly created page, follow the following steps.
Visit your Page. Go to "Manage" > "Edit Page"
Choose "Apps" from the sidebar
Your Page Tab (under the given App Name) should appear in the list.

Now goto "View Page". You can even see it here, in your timeline. You can see "Visit Stuffmine" has appeared.

That's it. Now if you visit "Visit Stuffmine"

Alright.... Now you have a very nice sub-Page on your Facebook page. Don't worry is some weird Toolbar appears on the top of your iFrame. It disappears as soon as you logout.
Happy promoting...!

If you enjoyed the post, don't hesitate to visit Stuffmine and "hit like"
