5 Tips to make a memorable first impression

"You never get a second chance to make a good first impression."

Let's face it. A relationship, an interview, a presentation... (you name it) requires a dazzling first impression to make it worth. Yes genius, thank you for clearing that up... the problem is how to? Well here's the squeezed juice of few rich websites. I'll take 5 tips, to focus on.

1. Personal image and Attitude.!

Your background matters, both family and social. You'll eventually show your true side. So make sure you have a better one.

Adapt yourself according to the occasion. A date or interview, wear smart; a party, wear a Hawaiian shirt; a casual presentation, wear casual. You get the point right? Moreover, no matter what the occasion groom yourself well; bathe, comb hair, wear a perfume.

If your attitude sucks, don't expect to succeed. YOU WILL FAIL. Always have a positive attitude, that you will succeed. Don't worry if the chances are few, take them.

2. Be yourself!

People seem to forget the most important thing, "Be yourself". Is there anything easier than being you? Yet they try to fabricate a new fake version of themselves. Be relaxed; when you're yourself, you're relaxed.

3. Be simple!

Be simple! On a date, don't try to show that you're a very sophisticated person with a bizarre life style. On a presentation don't use awkward or complicated words. On an interview, show that you can deal with awkward situations very relaxed. Remember KISS (Keep it simple, stupid!)

4. Give space!
Give space to the others, show that you're a good listener. In a relationship give your partner the freedom and attention. Listen to his/her problems. In a presentation use names to interact as much as possible. Give space to ask questions. This implies that you're paying attention to others.

5. Be funny!

Humor can take you a long way. Your partner won't be satisfied with a callous person with no sense of humor, would he/she? In a presentation, when you feel that the audience is getting bored, tell a joke. I don't encourage anyone to try this at interviews. Humor gives you self-confidence. But do not be extremely sarcastic or it'll backfire on you.
